BOOK COVER OF THE WEEK (3)
This series of blog posts will be about the showing of a published book cover with a photo of mine and the original one as it appears in the agency that license it. Sometimes the cover is nothing more than added text to the original photo, other time the designer has worked around and with the image to create his/her own vision for the book cover.
This daisy flower was for me ideal to use on that wooden brown painted surface that I have made years ago as backdrop for my still-life images. I decided to take away some of the petals and the composition was for me ideal for a book cover with the copy space. Such kind of conceptual-poetic image is a good fit for a literary fiction novel. It was then used on a book cover published in Italy.
